ho udito le sirene cantare

I have heard the mermaid singing, each to each.
I do not think that they will sing to me.
I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
when the wind blows the water white and black.

Ho udito le sirene cantare l'una all'altra .
Non credo che canteranno per me.
T.S. Eliot, The LoveSong of Alfred Prufrock

questo castello è in un luogo ameno ...

This castle hath a pleasant seat; the air
Nimbly and sweetly recommends itself
Unto our gentle senses.

W.Shakespeare, Macbeth, Atto I, scena 6, versi 1-3
